Welcome to our latest Nahmii update. Today we have some exciting news about Nahmii 3.0’s development, plus some extra information about upcoming products and testnet incentives. Read on to find out more!

Nahmii 3.0 Status

Let’s start with the most important item: preparing Nahmii 3.0 for mainnet. We’re pleased to announce that the initial version of Nahmii 3.0 is now ‘feature complete’, which means that we’ve entered the final testing phase prior to launch. Our focus now is on fine tuning the protocol and preparing the first wave of products to showcase the technology.

In addition to final testing for the protocol, we’ll also be adding important ancillary features to the Nahmii 3.0 ecosystem such as ERC-721 NFT bridges, block explorer improvements and third-party integrations. Most of these items are already in place, ready for internal testing.

Testnet Update

We’re also continuing to monitor the public testnet for Nahmii 3.0, which has now processed over 3.5 million transactions across 105,000 wallets. We’ve also seen over 18,500 contracts deployed to the testnet.

In terms of testing total throughput, our focus has been on the internal testnet and Nahmii 3.0’s new architectural features. Our internal testing is returning promising results in terms of horizontal scalability, which we will replicate on the public testnet in time.

Since our last update we have also launched the ‘legendary’ NFT treasure hunt challenge on testnet, which you can find here. This has been a great success, with almost 300,000 NFTs minted by the public. This test showcases our new VRF (verifiable random function) utility, which is built on the Chainlink product of the same name. After some initial teething issues, the NFT game has now been running flawlessly for weeks.

Testnet Incentives

We will take the general approach of launching further products on testnet first when they are near or at MVP level. This allows us to test the product itself, but also allows for potential tweaking before being rolled out to mainnet. Each product will have its own incentive or even a set of incentives to encourage initial usage and highlight interesting features of those products.

Mainnet incentive programme

You should expect similar, if not the same incentives to roll from testnet to mainnet after deployment. The focus at this point will be less on testing the network itself, but instead showing off the products that will launch over the coming weeks and months. We expect our mainnet incentives to include a mix of both rare NFTs and tokens.

Summary

Nahmii 3.0 is ready to launch, with new products due to arrive on testnet very soon but we have not yet decided on the mainnet date. We’re excited about sharing our work with you, including some major surprises that are yet to be announced.

In the meantime, we’d like to invite you to join our monthly community call which is taking place on Wednesday 5th July at 12PM UTC. The call is hosted on Twitter Spaces, with the option to ask questions to the team directly through our #qns4speaker Discord channel. We hope to see you there!
