The Nahmii Bridge is Now Live!
Transfer assets from Ethereum and get prepared to interact with a new world of cheap, efficient, and secure DeFi.
Less than a month ago, we launched Nahmii 2.0. Today, we’re announcing the Nahmii Bridge, the most secure, user-friendly, and efficient way to bridge assets from Ethereum to Nahmii.
The Nahmii Bridge is a simple portal in and out of the Nahmii network through the MetaMask browser extension. This tool is designed to be as user-friendly as possible for crypto veterans and new entrants alike, and makes it easy for anyone to conduct fast, low-cost transactions that may otherwise be unwieldy or cost-prohibitive if executed on the Ethereum mainnet.
Supported ERC20s at Launch
The Nahmii Bridge allows users to deposit and withdraw (currently disabled) ETH and ERC-20 tokens like NII between the Ethereum mainnet and Nahmii’s layer two mainnet, as well as the Ethereum Ropsten & Nahmii testnets. Upon launch, the Nahmii Bridge will support depositing for the following tokens: ETH, NII, NIIFI, USDC, USDT, PAX, EURT, EURS, WBTC, renBTC, DAI. The full ERC library will be available through the Nahmii Bridge in the near future.
Once you’ve bridged your crypto assets over from Ethereum, your balance will be available on Nahmii shortly. From there, users can access their funds from any application or blockchain solution that has been deployed on Nahmii and transfer their assets back to the Ethereum mainnet at any time. Keep an eye out for application announcements on the Nahmii Network soon!
Nahmii enables near-instantaneous cross-chain deposits, but withdrawals back to the Ethereum mainnet generally involve a 5-day settlement and withdrawal process — typical for existing L2 solutions. The Nahmii team is currently working on instant withdrawals and settlements, scheduled to launch in the coming months.
Nahmii Bridge x MetaMask
Nahmii 2.0 is integrated with MetaMask, and users can access the Nahmii Bridge through their MetaMask account. Adding the Nahmii Network to MetaMask is as simple as clicking a button, instead of needing to manually enter the network information. (Those who prefer to manually connect their MetaMask to Nahmii can reference the setup guide in our documentation outlines).

The Nahmii team is also working on several additional Web3 protocols to offer an improved user experience, and Nahmii’s upcoming flagship DeFi application, NiiFi, will unlock new capabilities for the Nahmii Bridge as new features are introduced.
